Estate pool house drain line backups. A NEO tucked into a pool house sometimes has a drain line that was never sloped right at install, and it backs up and trips the float switch or leaves standing water in the cabinet. I trace the drain line and fix the slope instead of just replacing the float switch and hoping it holds.
Home bar machines with a stuck harvest valve. A home bar ice machine that only gets real use during a dinner party sits idle enough that the harvest valve seizes when it finally gets asked to work. I isolate the valve, test the coil against spec, and fit OEM, since an aftermarket coil doesn't hold up any better here than anywhere else.
