Foster City was built as a planned community around a network of lagoons, and most of it is condos, townhomes, and HOA buildings rather than standalone commercial blocks. The restaurants that do run Manitowoc heads cluster in a few places, Beach Park Plaza and the retail strip along Foster City Boulevard, serving a city that's almost entirely residential around them.

I give a straight answer on which way makes sense for the machine's age and condition before I start.
No-harvest faults on plaza cafe and deli units. A cafe or deli counter machine that won't drop ice during a lunch rush is usually the water curtain not tripping the harvest valve or a frosted harvest sensor. I carry both parts, so most calls involve parts we usually stock.
Purge valve wear from lighter, steadier cycling. Foster City's restaurant volume runs lighter than San Mateo's restaurant rows, but a purge valve or float switch still wears out over years of steady use, showing up as cloudy cubes or a slow harvest. I test the part before replacing it, since a lighter-use machine doesn't always need the same part swapped as a high-volume one would.
