Blackhawk's water is hard, and hard water is what kills ice machines: scale builds on the evaporator plate, harvest drags, the bin fills slow, and eventually the machine quits. A real descale and water-filter program is cheaper than a new head. We're dispatched out of San Ramon, a short run up Camino Tassajara.

What we close on the truck.
- Hard-water scale at the club. Blackhawk's hard water coats the evaporator plate fast on the clubhouse and Plaza machines. Harvest cycles drag, the bin fills slow, cube weight drops. We descale the full water circuit, rebuild or replace the float and water valve off the truck, and set a six-month filter interval to keep it from coming back.
- Stuck harvest on the modular heads. On the Indigo NXT the most common no-ice call is a stuck harvest cycle, ice frozen to the evaporator that won't release. Usually the water curtain isn't tripping the harvest valve or the sensor's frosted. We carry the harvest valve coil and the curtain switch, so these close the same day.
- Condenser-clean high-pressure trips. The Indigo NXT and NEO both post a condenser-clean reminder that gets waved off until a high-pressure fault shuts the machine down. We clean the coil, swap the air filter, run a service cycle, and tape the maintenance schedule inside the panel.
