A small market on University Avenue runs its NEO undercounter nonstop, and scale on the evaporator plate cuts production before anyone notices, until the bin comes up short at close. I descale the plate, check the water filter, and set an interval that actually matches how hard the machine runs.
High-volume cube heads at IKEA and the Four Seasons. An Indigo NXT running a cafeteria-scale operation cycles through water fast, and scale builds on the plate on a much tighter schedule than a normal restaurant sees. The bin comes up short before the machine ever throws a fault code. I set the descale interval to match the actual draw, not the manual's default.
Tight storefront compressors overheating. A lot of the storefronts along University Avenue don't have much room behind the counter for a compressor to breathe, and a unit boxed into a tight corner runs high head pressure and shuts down on thermal overload. I check clearance and clean the condenser before I assume the compressor itself has failed.
