- Moderately hard water and scale. Water in the Moraga and Rheem area runs moderately hard, and that scale is what kills ice machines here. It coats the Scotsman evaporator, slows harvest, and shortens cube life. We descale the system, swap the water filter, and get harvest weight back where it should be.
- Harvest and water-valve faults. Prodigy ELITE cubers code on water, harvest, or a sensor. A machine making thin cubes or refusing to drop a harvest is usually a failing water inlet valve, a stuck float, or a fouled harvest thermistor. We carry those parts on the truck, so a lot of Moraga calls involve parts we usually stock.
- Sealed-system and R290 work. A Scotsman that short-cycles or won't get cold is a sealed-system call. We do the compressor, leak repair, recovery, evacuation, and weigh-in in-house under EPA #1279674151528, and we're R290 trained for the newer self-contained units showing up in these kitchens.
