- Hard Contra Costa water is the ice problem here. Concord runs on Contra Costa Water District supply, and it's hard. On a Scotsman that means scale on the evaporator, slow harvest, thin or cloudy cubes, and eventually a machine that won't drop ice at all. A proper descale and a fresh water filter usually brings production back.
- Float, water-valve, and harvest-probe replacement. When the float, water inlet valve, or harvest probe is fouled past saving, we swap it. Prodigy ELITE codes point us at the right circuit. - Sealed-system repair under EPA 608. A Scotsman that short-cycles or never gets cold is a sealed-system job: compressor, leak repair, or a choked condenser.
