Scale-related no-harvest. Scale builds on the evaporator plate faster than the manual schedule suggests once the water's moderately hard, and the machine slows its harvest, then stops. We descale, check the inlet filter, and set a shorter service interval.
Water inlet valve failure. A Hoshizaki that fills slow or not at all usually traces to a water inlet valve losing its seal, often the same scale problem working on a different part. We test and replace the valve when that's the actual cause.
Condenser airflow and high head pressure. Air-cooled Hoshizaki units in a tight closet or under-counter space choke on a dirty condenser coil, throw a high head pressure fault, and quit producing ice. We clean the coil and check the space for adequate clearance.
