- R290 compressor failure. A Crathco dispenser that's stopped cooling is often a compressor issue on the R290 system, and we've seen manufacturer bad-batch compressors fail early on these units. We check for that before assuming it's a routine wear failure.
- Auger motor or gearbox wear. The auger that keeps a frozen drink dispenser from freezing solid takes steady mechanical wear, and a struggling motor is a common call. We test the motor and gearbox together since one often takes the other out.
- Product buildup on seals and valves. Sugary drink product builds up on seals and dispensing valves over time, and a dispenser that's leaking or dispensing slow is usually a cleaning and seal-replacement job rather than a compressor problem. We check this first since it's the cheaper fix.
