- Worktop unit losing temperature under load. A prep worktop that holds fine empty but climbs once it's loaded with pans is usually an airflow problem, a blocked evaporator or a fan that's lost strength. We check both before assuming the compressor's the issue.
- Door gasket and hinge wear. Continental's cabinet doors take a beating during event prep when they're opened constantly for a few hours straight. A worn gasket or a sagging hinge lets warm air in every time the door swings, and the unit runs longer than it should trying to catch up.
- Condenser fan motor failure. A seized or slow condenser fan runs the compressor hotter than it's built for and shortens its life fast. We test fan amp draw and swap the motor before it takes the compressor down with it.
