The damp coastal air works into door gaskets and hinges faster than a drier climate would, and a walk-in door that's not sealing tight loses cold air constantly, which shows up as a compressor that never seems to rest. We check the gasket, the hinge alignment, and the door heater together.
- Prep rail electrical contacts pitting. Salt air corrodes electrical contacts and terminal blocks over time, and a Continental prep rail with a pitted contact can trip breakers intermittently or lose power to the compressor without warning. We clean and re-torque connections, and replace what's corroded past use.
