Sub-Zero in Menlo Park
Sub-Zero refrigeration in Menlo Park.
Menlo Park's Sub-Zero work lives in the homes, not the storefronts. The kitchens through Central Menlo Park, Allied Arts, and the streets closest to the Atherton line run Classic 36" and 48" built-ins, Designer integrated columns, and dedicated wine storage, and when one drifts warm there's real food and a real wine collection riding on it.
We service all of it as an independent shop, no factory-authorization claim. Sealed-system work, recovery, evacuation, and weigh-in, is done in-house under EPA #1279674151528.
The diagnostic is $99 and it is credited toward the repair. We're up from San Ramon, and we carry gauges, a micron gauge, and a recovery machine on the truck, since a Sub-Zero seal job done halfway turns into a callback nobody wants.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- One side running warm on dual-refrigeration units. A lot of the older Sub-Zero cabinets in these homes are the dual-refrigeration 600 and 700 series, where the classic complaint is one compartment drifting warm while the other holds fine. That points to a slow sealed-system leak on the warm side. We confirm with suction-line temperature checks before opening anything.
- Condenser coil and fan neglect. Sub-Zero's condenser coil sits behind a kickplate or cabinet panel, and it cakes with dust and pet hair over a couple of years if the grille airflow gets blocked by cabinetry. We pull the unit, clean the coil, and check the fan bearings before that seizes and takes the compressor down with it.
- Wine column temperature drift. The wine and beverage columns in these Menlo Park kitchens are common service calls: a cooling deck that's lost charge, a failed control board, or a door seal that's given out will drift the cabinet off setpoint. We confirm the actual fault before ordering parts, since a bad thermistor fakes the same symptom as a refrigerant leak.
