Sub-Zero in Burlingame
Sub-Zero refrigeration in Burlingame.
Burlingame's own homes, especially the remodeled craftsman and Mediterranean-style kitchens near downtown, run a good number of Sub-Zero built-ins, and the estate-scale installs step up again just over the line in Hillsborough, where the wine rooms and integrated columns get bigger and more elaborate.
We service all of it as an independent shop. No factory-authorization claim, no Sub-Zero dealer relationship, just experienced hands on built-in refrigeration and an honest diagnosis before any panel comes off.
The diagnostic is $99 and we credit it toward the repair. We carry gauges, a micron gauge, and a recovery machine on the truck, because a Sub-Zero seal job done halfway turns into a callback nobody wants to pay for twice.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- One side warm on a dual-refrigeration unit. A lot of Burlingame's older Sub-Zero installs are the dual-refrigeration 600 and 700 series, and the classic complaint is one compartment running warm while the other holds. That points to a slow sealed-system leak on one circuit. We find the leak, repair it, then recover, evacuate, and weigh in a proper charge in-house under EPA #1279674151528.
- Condenser fan and coil buildup. On the Classic 36 inch and 48 inch built-ins, the condenser coil cakes with dust within a couple of years if the cabinet panel restricts the grille airflow, which is common in tighter downtown Burlingame kitchen remodels. We pull the unit, clean the coil, and check the fan bearings before a seized fan takes the compressor with it.
- Wine column drifting off setpoint. Wine and beverage storage columns are common in both Burlingame and Hillsborough kitchens, and a cooling deck that's lost charge, a failed control board, or a door that no longer seals will drift the cabinet off setpoint. We confirm the actual fault before ordering parts, since a bad wiring loom or a tired thermistor can fake the same symptoms.

FAQ
Sub-Zero in Burlingame questions, answered.
-
Are you a Sub-Zero authorized dealer?
No. We service Sub-Zero built-ins as an independent shop, so we'll tell you straight what's wrong and what it costs. Sealed-system work, recovery, evacuation, and weigh-in are done in-house under EPA #1279674151528. -
How fast can you get to a Burlingame or Hillsborough home?
We dispatch from San Ramon, over the bridge and up 101, usually 45 minutes to just over an hour depending on traffic. We're open 7AM to 7PM, seven days. Call (925) 999-4095. -
Is it worth repairing instead of replacing?
Usually. A Sub-Zero built-in is made to run 20 years and made to be fixed, and swapping one means thousands plus a cabinetry refit. We provide a written repair estimate after the on-site diagnosis and before any work starts.
