- Temperature drift and fan issues. A Summit unit drifting off temperature in a San Jose home usually means a weak fan or a failing sensor. We rule those out first, since replacing a compressor that didn't need it wastes your money.
- Door seal and hinge wear. Door seals and hinges wear out on these units faster than people expect, especially in a kitchen that entertains often. Once the seal fails, cold air leaks out constantly and the compressor never gets a break. We replace whichever part has failed.
