Past the tracks on the industrial east side, the machine shops and light-industrial buildings along Industrial Road keep a compact Summit fridge in the break room, not a walk-in, just something for lunches and cold drinks through a shift.

What we close on the truck.

Laurel Street beverage center and wine unit calls. A Summit beverage center behind a Laurel Street bar gets opened and closed all night, and the door gasket is usually the first thing to go, followed by the evaporator fan motor once warm air keeps sneaking past a torn seal. On dual-zone wine units we check the cooling deck next if recalibrating the thermostat doesn't bring both zones back in line.
East side break room fridges. The compact Summit fridges in the shops off Industrial Road get shoved into a corner with the vents blocked, and the compressor runs hot until the overload starts tripping it on and off. We pull the unit out, clear the airflow path, and test the relay and overload before we say it needs a compressor.
Compressor and start component failures. When a Summit unit won't cool at all, we check the start relay and run capacitor before we call it a dead compressor. On an older unit with a slow refrigerant leak, we find the leak, repair it, and recharge to spec instead of guessing at a full sealed-system replacement.
