Albany is 1.8 square miles of the small spaces Summit was built for. The 1920s and '30s bungalow kitchens along the Marin Avenue grid where a 24 or 30-inch footprint is the norm, the ADUs and basement units going into these small lots, the UC Village family housing along Buchanan Street, and the cafes and storefronts along Solano Avenue running a compact beverage cooler behind the counter. A compact or undercounter Summit fits where a full box can't, which is most of this city.

We dispatch from San Ramon and come across through the tunnel, and we stock the parts that fail most. You'll see the price in writing before we start any work, and the $99 on-site diagnosis is credited toward the repair.

Tight-install compressor faults. A lot of Albany Summits live in cramped bungalow-kitchen and ADU cabinets where the unit can't breathe. Heat has nowhere to go, so the compressor runs hot, trips the overload, and short-cycles until it finally fails outright. Before quoting anything, we check whether it's actually a freestanding unit that got boxed in or a true front-venting built-in.
Beverage centers and wine units. The Solano Avenue cafes and a number of the nicer bungalow remodels run Summit glass-door beverage centers and dual-zone wine units. If the temperature creeps or a single zone won't stay put, the usual suspects are the cooling deck, a weak evaporator fan, or a control board that's drifted out of calibration. We rebuild the failed part and get it dialed back to spec.
Compact 24 to 30 inch appliance repair. Albany's small kitchens run heavy on the 24 and 30-inch Summit line, since that's what fits the footprint. Gaskets wear out fast in daily use, cold controls drift and either freeze product or never pull down, and evaporator and condenser fan motors pack up with dust in a basement-unit install. All standard truck-stock for us.
