Saratoga doesn’t have much commercial refrigeration to begin with, and that’s the point. This is one of the most residential cities in the South Bay: hillside estates off Mount Eden, Pierce, and Bohlman roads, a scatter of small wineries tucked into those same hills, and a short stretch of restaurants and wine-tasting rooms along Big Basin Way in the Village. When something breaks here, it’s usually in a kitchen, not a walk-in cooler.
We dispatch out of San Ramon, so Saratoga is a longer drive than our Tri-Valley calls. Commercial outages and down ice machines still jump the line, and we’re often there same-day. We carry parts on the truck and give you a written quote before any work starts, no surprises on the invoice.
The Village and the country club
Big Basin Way’s restaurants and tasting rooms run a small footprint of reach-ins, undercounter coolers, and back-bar refrigeration: True, Turbo Air, Beverage-Air, and a few newer Atosa units in spots that opened in the last few years. The private country club adds Perlick under-bar coolers in the clubhouse and a Manitowoc or Hoshizaki ice machine that has to keep up on tournament weekends. We handle the usual failures: dead evaporator and condenser fan motors, clogged drains, worn door gaskets, refrigerant faults. We’re Manitowoc-certified, factory-trained on Indigo NXT, NEO, and QuietQube through the Manitowoc Ice and Koolaire seminar, and we service Hoshizaki and Scotsman as an independent shop.
Sub-Zero and U-Line in the hills
Most of our Saratoga calls come out of the estate kitchens themselves. Sub-Zero columns, drawers, and dedicated wine storage, U-Line beverage centers built into a butler’s pantry or a wine room. We service these as an independent shop, no factory authorization to claim, just an honest diagnosis and the fix.
The diagnostic is $99, credited toward the repair. Hours are 7AM to 7PM, seven days, same number for after-hours emergencies.
