Cabinet hardware rusting on outdoor-rated units. Even the marine-grade outdoor units pick up surface corrosion on hinges and latch hardware faster near the coast. We replace the hardware before a door stops sealing properly, since a door that will not latch tight lets warm humid air straight onto the evaporator.
Back-bar coolers running warm from a caked condenser. Salt combines with the usual kitchen grease and dust to cake a condenser coil faster than either one alone. We pull the coil, clean it thoroughly, and check the fan motor and start components before we look at anything else on a warm box.
