It's cheap to test and cheap to replace, but ignored long enough the compressor windings take the damage instead, and that's not cheap at all.
Control board failure on an older unit. An older Traulsen cabinet that's been sitting in a guest kitchen or barn for years can develop a control board fault from age or a power surge, and it often looks like a cooling problem when it isn't. I test the controls first since that's the cheaper fix if it's the real cause.
