Beverage-Air repair, done by an independent shop
Beverage-Air is one of the better names to see when we walk into a kitchen. The cabinets hold up, and when one finally gives trouble after a long run, fixing it usually beats buying new. Take care of the basics and these units keep going for years. Most of the calls we get trace back to age, not a design flaw.
We service Beverage-Air as an independent shop. No factory-authorization claims, no dealer badge. Just techs who know the equipment. Flat $75 diagnostic, waived if you hire us for the repair, and you get a written quote before anyone turns a wrench.
What goes wrong
Thermostats top the list. The box runs warm or drifts off its setpoint because the control has wandered or quit outright. Plan on labor from $250 plus the part.
Refrigerant leaks tend to surface once a unit hits the 15 to 20 year mark. Vibration and slow corrosion eventually open the sealed system. This is the job most general appliance techs can’t legally touch. We hold an EPA Section 608 certification (EPA #1279674151528) and do sealed-system work in-house, with proper recovery, evacuation, and a weighed-in charge. A full rebuild can run up to $4,000, and we back it with a 2-year warranty on the repair. If your Beverage-Air uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, we’re trained for that too (Mainstream Engineering A3 certification).
Door gaskets fail when maintenance slides. A worn gasket pulls warm air in, runs the compressor nonstop, and pushes your power bill up. Replacing one is among the cheapest fixes on the cabinet, and it keeps the compressor from grinding itself to death. Leave it long enough and you shorten the life of the whole unit.
Commercial labor starts at that same $250 base. Tight access, units that have to be pulled to reach the failed one, or a second tech for a heavy box can push it higher. We’ll tell you before we start.
Why call us
We run out of San Ramon, 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, and the same number covers after-hours emergencies for restaurants, bars, and stores that can’t wait until morning. We’re part of ADRIUM Service Solutions (CSLB #1136642, BBB A+), alongside Bay Area HVAC Service and Bay Area Refrigeration Service, so if your back-bar cooler and your espresso machine both went down the same week, one call covers it.
