Refrigeration and ice repair in Danville

Most of Danville’s commercial refrigeration runs through downtown. Hartz Avenue and the blocks near the Iron Horse trail are full of independent restaurants, wine bars, bakeries and a couple of small grocers, and a lot of them are owner-operated. When a walk-in warms up or the bar ice machine quits on a Friday night, that’s product on the line and a service bar that can’t pour.

We work on the reach-ins and prep tables those kitchens run (True, Turbo Air, Atosa, Continental), the back-bar and bottle coolers behind the bars (Beverage-Air, Perlick), and the undercounter and cube ice machines that keep the well stocked. Out past Blackhawk and toward Alamo, the bigger homes run Sub-Zero and U-Line built-ins, and we service those too.

What we get called for

Walk-ins and reach-ins drifting warm, usually a dirty condenser coil, a failed evaporator fan motor, or a refrigerant leak. Prep tables that won’t hold below 41. Bar coolers icing over from a stuck door gasket. On the ice side it’s machines that quit producing, freeze into a slab, or run cloudy soft cubes. A lot of the ice trouble around here is scale. Danville’s water runs moderately hard, and the mineral buildup chews through water valves, distribution tubes and the float on a Manitowoc or Hoshizaki head if the descale and filter changes get skipped. We carry contactors, fan motors, relays, gaskets, water valves and common control boards on the truck, so most calls close in one visit.

Ice machines and sealed systems

Andrew is Manitowoc-certified, factory-trained on the Indigo NXT, NEO undercounter and QuietQube remote condenser lines (we’re trained to service them, not a factory sales dealer). Every other brand we handle as an independent shop, no authorization to claim. Sealed-system work is done in-house: we recover, evacuate and weigh in the charge under EPA #1279674151528, and we’re R290 hydrocarbon trained for the Atosa and newer units running propane refrigerant.

Same-day when you’re down

We’re dispatched out of San Ramon, ten minutes up the road, so a dead box at a downtown Danville restaurant gets pushed to the front. Open 7 to 7, seven days, with the same number for after-hours emergencies.

The diagnostic is $75, waived when you go ahead with the repair, and you get a written quote before we touch anything. We’re a service line of ADRIUM Service Solutions, CSLB #1136642, alongside Bay Area HVAC Service.
